it had been a week now since craig’s breakup with tweek, and he was feeling quite distraught. thankfully the town had long gotten over their relationship, so it didn’t rock south park too much, but it had certainly rocked craig, considering he’d spent every day with tweek since fourth grade. what made it worse was that tweek was a part of his friend group, so he didn’t even want to go to clyde for comfort, despite being his best friend. a lesson craig had had to learn the hard way was that you shouldn’t date your friends.
laying motionless in bed, craig soon found himself calling kenny’s number. they’d always been close after all, and craig would think of him as a best friend, but it was never the same type of relationship that he had with clyde. it was something else that he never really thought to think through. either way, he certainly didn’t want to badger the man at such an hour, he just didn’t want to be left with his thoughts and his dark, silent room right now.

@kennyskicks craig gave a tentative hum, just listening to kenny’s rhythmic breathing on the other side of the phone with half-lidded eyes. already he felt a little less lonely. “miss you.” he offered up softly. “i know i haven’t talked much this week.”

@craigscrocs Kenny shook his head and realized Craig couldn't see him. "No, it's fine." The blonde replied gently. He was picking up on the sad notes in the boys voice, but he chose not to push.

@kennyskicks “hey ken.” craig answered softly. he was all cried out, so his voice was quiet and tentative, but the scratchiness in his throat was evident. he started to feel a little guilty at the sound of kenny’s tired murmurs. “did i wake you up? sorry.”
