Latest chapter was difficult to write. Have I managed to handle it delicately and as tasteful as such a thing is possible? It is a very important plot point for the overall story, but what a challenge it is to actually put it out there for people to read.

Dear Readers,
I need to revise a few chapters in advance before I can publish today's. I hope for your understanding. I want to do well by Signy in telling her story, and I need to be sure about certain plot developments before I commit to them by posting the next chapter. This could mean 2-3 days delay so I can revise 4-5 chapters to get a clearer picture of where these developments will take the story and how much rewriting it means.
I have added images to some chapters of Signy Kráka. More may follow.
The chapter, "Arrival", even has a video of a reconstructed model of Birka town, if anyone would like to see that.
Birka is believed to be bigger than shown on this video though, and also believed to have had more long jetties into the water. Compare with the image in that chapter to see the difference.
In my description of Birka in this story, I have tried to be as up-to-date on archaeological findings as I could.
Nevertheless, the video does present a good idea of Birka.
