I never thought of an Irish person as dark skinned, and I'm not racist. What is a name? Does it define you? No, it doesn't have to. You define your name. My name is Kiernan. The meaning? Small and Dark Skinned. Im tall and white; white as a fresh snow falling. My name came from my Great Grandmother. But it wasn't her first name, nor was it her middle. It was her last. My mom likes to be original. My name is masculine. My name is for a male, I am female, what does that make me? It makes me anthing I want to be.
People don't seem to relalize that your name doesn't define you. Take me for example, Kiernan. Kiernan Lily Johnson. My name goes from weird, masculine, hard to pronouce, to soft, girly, simple, to plain and boring. I am a person who is strong, stronger than you ever will imagine. I have all the thoughts and dreams that I know I will persue. Having a name that is weird does not define you as a weird person; it just makes you more unique. People don't remember you for your name, they remember you by your name. Your name is just a small part of you, a small part of your originality. Time to take pride in what you were given, because its what you're stuck with. Put a definition to your name. Put a definition to you.
