/ hades is meant to be closed off. in actual greek mythology, he doesn’t hang around mortals, doesn’t seek attention, and doesn’t move through the world the way the other gods do. he stays in his realm and rules it with distance and control. there aren’t stories of him smiling, flirting, or playing host. that’s just not who he is. he’s one of the original olympians, given the underworld after the titanomachy, and his role isn’t about being cruel or evil. it’s about finality. order. once a soul crosses into his domain, it stays there unless fate itself interferes. that’s why people feared him. not because he was a monster, but because he was absolute.
this portrayal sticks close to that. he isn’t romanticized, softened, or turned into a social god. he’s quiet, reserved, and intentional. if he interacts with someone, it’s for a reason. that doesn’t mean he can’t be roleplayed with. it just means any interaction should feel rare and heavy, not casual or playful. this portrayal of hades stays as accurate as possible to his original mythological character while still leaving room for roleplay.

With any other ruler of the underworld , she’d be wary , skeptical , and quick to distrust. But this version . . . it didn’t feel threatening , not like the stories she’d read. There was a strange comfort in it , almost familiar. “ I’m not trying to sway you , Hades , but you can call me Ivana. I’m a full-time demon hunter , doing my best to keep the world safe from . . . well , demons , ” she adds , her soft smile hidden behind her helmet. “ Seems my teleporter glitched and dumped me here. Sorry if I’m causing any trouble. ” / It’s all good! I’m trying to fit her into this universe somehow, I’m not used to doing a Greek mythology setting.. so my replies might be a bit mid—
