@RickySchlecht hey! i'm by no means a pro at wattpad, this is just what has worked for me.
the biggest thing about wattpad is consistency, i've been writing for around five years and the times i did the best was when i was updating weekly. next, make sure your writing is suited towards a wattpad audience. there's a big difference between wattpad writing and published writing that you need to accommodate for in order to keep your readers attracted. also, make your covers attractive. the moment i see a tacky or uninteresting book cover, i tend to not even read the blurb or give the book a chance. simple is key.
i recommend looking at the category and audience you're writing for and changing the covers of your books appropriately as this is the first thing readers judge you on. after that, check your tags and check the tags of popular books you find similar to what you want to write in, if you have romance readers reading a popular book with the same tags, your book might end up being recommended to them.
