            Reiner is a tragic spy that had nowhere to run, while he's a hero for his comrades, we got to see his story and he never did anything other than following orders. While Reiner is a deep and good character, I would definitely not call him a hero or even morally correct, especially after what he did.

@Aliceackerman1238 I can try to upload it on YouTube shorts and you can check it out there? I'll delete it after though jebdbsksj. It's embarassing. It was an impulsive cosplay and I just wore whatever was in my closet that came close to Mikasa's attire (I cosplayed the season 4 Mikasa btw where she has short hair). Also, my favorite character is Reiner. I love how complex his character is and he's no more than a victim of war. I love when characters show how their past actions deeply affect them in their daily life. He suffered from guilt and PTSD and I love me a broken man

I took your advice on making readers build a connection with my character by creating my own hunter exam. I’d say I did good from the first to third phase, after that I flopped—not to mention the discouragement and writers block that have been building up.

You have a point there.
            For me as a reader, slow-burn stories aren't a preference at all.
            As a writer it could be tiring, especially if there are chapters I am excited about writing up ahead.
            
            Maybe I can do a time skip, but give a short explanation of what happened mixed with her opinion? 
            
            If you were in my shoes, what would you do? 

@Aliceackerman1238  Well, starting from scratch has its pros and cons. The pros are that your readers get to experience your character’s backstory before jumping into the main events of the anime. This allows them to form a deeper connection with your character. The cons are that it can be lengthy, which might discourage some readers from continuing, or it might drain or tire you as the writer. Some readers enjoy lengthy, slow-burn stories, while others prefer short and concise ones. It really depends on you!
