Kirk Shaw is one of North America's most prolific award-winning producers, with over 250 films and television credits spanning over three decades. He has worked with every major studio and collaborated with A-list talent, including Woody Harrelson, Charlize Theron, Ashton Kutcher, John Travolta, Nicolas Cage, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Kim Basinger, Ray Liotta, and Cuba Gooding Jr., among others. Recognized for leadership in the entertainment industry, He is known for innovative approaches to financing and packaging film and television projects. In 2017, he was inducted into the British Columbia Entertainment Hall of Fame for impacting Canada's screen industry.

Shaw built Canada's largest independent production company, combining scripted and non-scripted production expertise with strategic skills in high-concept IP packaging, financing, and international co-productions. His career covers IP acquisition, development, and budget management from $1 million to over $200 million, forging partnerships across North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia, and delivering content to theatrical, streaming, and broadcast platforms.

As Co-President of Ambitious Entertainment, founded in 2017, he led productions such as Guns of Redemption, Viper, and Dead Man's Hand. By 2025, the company will have become a fully integrated IP-acquisition and packaging studio targeting global markets and will be positioned for an NYSE listing.

In 2009, Shaw founded Odyssey Media Inc., a boutique studio for lower-risk international co-productions backed by a $25 million fund. The studio has produced over 20 films, including Drive Hard, Pound of Flesh, and The Town That Came A-Courting.

Starting in 1990 with Insight Film Studios, Kirk Shaw expanded from museum audio guides to documentaries and long-form productions, producing over 130 titles and managing annual budgets exceeding $200 million. Highlights include Battle in Seattle, Helen, The Hurt Locker, and the series Blood Ties and Painkiller Jane.
