I got strange looks when I decided to read a book about grammar and word usage.

Those looks became stranger when I started reading a text book on writing. For fun.

I'm an editor at heart, so trust me, I know what I'm doing.

And the graders of my seventh grade official state writing test pretty much said my writing was bad.
