Thinking about when I was 12 and read a Dipper x reader one shots book (don't judge) and noticed that the author was obviously describing Y/N with her own characteristics instead of the typical (your hair color) or (your eye color).

So I left a comment suggesting she describe Y/N with less specificity or leave options like that so the reader could better envision themselves in the story. Not even five minutes later did she post an update stating she was going on hiatus due to "hate comments" ⊙﹏⊙

When I was like 12 I went to a summer camp. I started talking to this girl and found out she had Wattpad. I got all excited, and I was like "What's your username??" and thought we could follow each other. I was really insistent, but she kept denying my request, awkwardly shutting me down and willing me to drop the subject.

I got a little hurt by this, thinking that she just didn't like me or something. Looking back, I finally realize why she didn't want me to follow her. Back then, I thought Wattpad was just a place to post your original stories and fanfiction. But I finally understand what most people write on Wattpad... She was protecting me
