I'm sorry to bother y'all with this announcement but this is important.

          India is dying.
          
          A second COVID wave has taken out the healthcare system. There are no more hospital beds. There's an oxygen shortage. There's a critical vaccine shortage. The central government has thrown it's hands up and it's pressing the baton to the state governments to do what they can. Our government fucked up. They didn't prepare for an inevitable spike when they re-opened the country and they sure as fuck aren't doing enough to help the people out. This time last year, they locked the country down for months because "they needed time to prepare". But ultimately, they failed to do just that. Instead, the government hosted massive rallies and election campaigns. They promised free vaccines to states where they won elections and had the audacity to charge extra for vaccines in specific states. The person who originally made this announcement --in form of a book-- said that in the last few days their Twitter feed has been filled with people asking for beds, oxygen, and medicine for people who really need it. Strangers on the internet have been doing more to help their country than the government and that's not how it's supposed to be.
          
          I'm not saying that all of it is the government's fault people who are roaming around without a mask, not following COVID guidelines, or going in vacations. It's their fault too.
          
          There are 16 million COVID cases. A record 330,000 new cases reported. 
          
          There is no plan.
          
          Mass cremations are taking place. The cremation grounds are running day and night and they are short on wood. People are watching their loved ones die and their unable to give them proper burial rights.
