My darlings,

As I mentioned before, 'Official Town Business' was nominated for Book of the Month by the Mystery & Thriller Ambassadors! ✨

It’s all rather exciting — and endlessly flattering! The interview about the book — and the ever-growing world of Fleckney, where villages multiply and fictional families keep acquiring new and increasingly eccentric relatives — is now live! You can read it here: https://www.wattpad.com/1585281207-book-of-the-month-standout-mysteries-october-2025

Thank you, as always, for reading, sharing, and cheering me on. You make this whole writing adventure feel like the loveliest sort of mischief.

          Love,
          K.
          Cheers! xx

My darlings,

I’ve had a message saying 'Official Town Business' has been chosen as a guest feature for “Mystery Book of the Month” by @mystery— they’ve asked me a few questions about the story, and I’m happily working on my answers now.

It means a lot, as 'Official Town Business' was the start of my whole shared universe — and I know Imogen and her particular brand of investigative chaos are dear to many of you, too.

I’ll keep you posted if this little nomination leads to anything more!

          Love,

          K. xx

Just a quick note, my darlings,

I’m nearly done editing the next chapter of "Romance Test." You should be able to enjoy it for dessert after your Friday supper. Meanwhile, a little Italian Holyoake goodness will be waiting for you Friday morning. Honestly, is there a better way to start the day? Haha!

Hope it puts a smile on your face.

          Love,
          K. xx

My lovelies,

I’ve posted the first chapter of Tenderly Exposed as a teaser while I keep working on "Romance Test," "A Woman About Town," and the next chapter in the Italian Holyoakes series.

          https://www.wattpad.com/1582459893-tenderly-exposed-italian-holyoakes-series-book-1

It’s been a stop‑start stretch lately with real‑life admin and legal hurdles that took the wind out of me. Writing is the thing that steadies me, and I’ve missed being here properly.

I’m really grateful to everyone who’s still around, checking in, or rereading the old chapters. It means more than I can say.

I’m very much invested into "A Woman About Town" and "Romance Test" — the latter is nearly wrapped up, which means more brain space for holiday cheer and hunky Italians.

If you read the teaser, let me know what you think — your feedback genuinely does help me keep the momentum going.

Thank you for the patience, the messages, and the quiet loyalty. You’re the reason I keep opening this page again.

          Love,
          K. xx

@ArchiSingh21 oh gosh, I agree! We could all benefit from living in a Fleckney town. I made it so nice, that now I have to set the new story in the neighbouring county so that the characters can have some problems LOL

@leoniderprofi hahaha I had to do it, because I needed a reminder of all the language quirks, and of Eric's 'vibe.' And now my head is full of the younger Cerretellis. And I do love the vibe of the new story too! I decided to challenge myself and write someone who's not me haha! Not bookish, not cottagecore. More Ann Cleeves than Agatha Christie. Tammy is all working class and gumption. But still this is a holiday cheer story, like Sweetly Isolated (except the sweetness doesn't come from desserts, but from social justice) LOL

My darlings,

Please expect the most unexpected of updates tomorrow… an epilogue for an older Christmas story — A VILLAIN FOR CHRISTMAS!

I know I’ve only been updating ROMANCE TEST lately — life rather insisted on a detour through a maze of inheritance papers, solicitors’ letters, and those charmingly “official” envelopes that never bring good news. But that’s all finally behind me now, and I can breathe — and more importantly, write — again.

For quite some time now, Eric’s twin siblings have been rattling in my mind like a pair of locked trunks full of secrets — loud, persistent, and far too entertaining to ignore. If you know the Holyoakes, you’ll know exactly what sort of mischief that promises. Naturally, that led me back to reread Eric’s story — and, well, one thing led to another, and suddenly there was an epilogue.

See you tomorrow for a little Christmas cheer in October.

          With love (and biscuits),
          K.

          Cheers! xx

@ArchiSingh21 thank you! It's been almost a year since my father's passing, and all this unpleasant paperwork has been dragging FOREVER. Ugh. But it seems to be mostly done. I'm relieved. Thank you for your support! xx

@kkolmakov just reading about solicitor and those envelopes had me in worried!

            Goodness they are behind you!

            Welcome back xo :)
