[ ABOUT SELENTE. ] ⸻ they are… a benefactor, of sorts. i know they had ulterior motives for the great help they’ve done me, but — at the same time, i would probably be dead now if not for them. well, i suppose that we both have our reasons for this partnership, don’t we?

it feels.. w͟e͟i͟r͟d͟, ⋆ the halovian spoke, looking down at himself. heavy furs adorned their shoulders, a smart tailored suit accenting their figure complete with belt, dress shoes and a hat to match. all this fancy clothing left laverne at a loss, unsure what to do. they looked to selente for guidance, quite confused by all this. after all, the elf were the one who had fitted him with these in the first place. ⋆ am i.. to wear these?

⋆ certainly it felt strange to be here, in such a (supposed) position of authority.. but who was ouverte if not to adapt? it had been all they could do, after all. there's lots they could do to improve, and change.. for one, the owner of a casino couldn't appear docile or weak-willed in any way. it was how people would love to take advantage, and exactly what led to his downfall in the past. so he had to change how they acted, for one. it would be a long way to go. ( ... ) it wasn't until selente undid the first button that he realised how much the fabric had been straining.. ( huh. ) he hadn't even noticed. and what a difference it made. they couldn't help but give a relieved exhale. ⋆ it's not my fault i look like this naturally, /boss/. ⋆ a cheeky quip was made, offhandedly. evidently his tongue still hadn't lost its bite. (not yet). so another button is removed. and it truly made a huge difference. it looked a lot more comfortable for the other as well. "⠀ah, there we go. ah.. of course. yes, sir. ⋆ lavender hues trailed from those gold-buckled shoes reflected in the mirror, trailing up past the belt and the suit and the furs till he's staring right into the gaze of their own reflection. he looks meek, hesitant — - though perhaps that's true of them right now. they had had nothing, until now.. suddenly thrust into a deal, even if it were voluntary.. it would take some time to get fully used to. selente's figure loomed behind them in the mirror, a reminder of the agreement the two had made. but nervous as he felt, 'ouverte' made no move to shy away. ⋆ so, what exactly am i to do for you?

as to further prove their words, koe’s head tilted off to the side, a quiet grumble could be heard as his cheek was briefly pinched. a gloved hand would come up to rub his cheek. “ what are you going on about..? ”

"⠀but the security here is awful. and ouverte must've been too lenient..⠀" he mumbled the last parts, it made them somewhat disappointed but.. nevermind the matter.
