oh i agree. a lot of my friends are just like "it may be 1D fanfic but you're getting your work out there" and then i get all happy bc suppORT and yea h idk

i'm not gonna lie, i enjoy my fair share of well written smut, but one of the girls in my class sits beside me and always sees me reading and she'll be like "one direction?" and i just nod my head before she starts laughing (but not a mean laugh just an oh-my kind of laugh) 
          
          whenever i tell people that i like /one direction/ they lose a little bit of respect for me i can see it in their eyes
