“here! i brought you some tea- do you like tea? ah, i should’ve asked! that was so rude of me.. uhm, it’s just some green tea. but it’s really cold outside tonight, so i figured maybe you’d like a hot drink!” cho set down the cup of tea, face flushing in embarrassment. she had completely forgot to ask what they preferred! hopefully it’d be fine..
“are you working tomorrow? maybe.. we could go to this new place i’ve been wanting to try! i- i’ll pay, of course! since i’m the one who wants to go.” she smiled sheepishly, letting out a nervous chuckle. “would that be alright with you? or.. or maybe we can go to an arcade or something! i just.. like your company. that’s all!” she ducked her head, crossing her arms.

@liqhthearts ... cirrus' head lifted when the bell to their shop had jingled, eyebrows furrowing instinctively, considering they hadn 't had any other appointments booked for an hour or so.⠀⠀⠀though, they seemed more so surprised by the fact it was cho in their shop instead.⠀⠀⠀⠀❝ green. . . tea .ᐣ ❞⠀⠀⠀⠀the tattooist eyed the drink almost suspiciously when it was placed down. they were really more of a coffee person, but... ah... whatever, it was a nice gesture, right .ᐣ they 'd try it, even if it was just for her sake.⠀⠀⠀⠀❝ oh,, uhm... thank you —- it is.. rather cold today. ❞ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀their movements in cleaning their tattoo station is stopped at the next words that come from the coffee-shop owner, golden gaze lifting to her out of surprise.⠀⠀⠀⠀❝ w - what .ᐣ ❞⠀⠀⠀⠀normally serious composure is broken... did she mean.. like a date—- .ᐣ or.. did they take that the wrong way .ᐣ there 's a small flush to their cheeks at the idea.. but cirrus wouldn 't be opposed to it.⠀⠀⠀they clear their throat, putting the supplies down before taking a few steps towards her.⠀⠀⠀⠀❝ no... i 'm off tomorrow, so.. ❞⠀⠀⠀⠀for the first time they feel.. /awkward/.. or maybe it was flustered .ᐣ either way, it didn 't feel.. /normal/.⠀⠀⠀⠀❝ you really don 't have to do that, i don 't want you spending anything on me.. but... i suppose i wouldn 't... mind going. ❞ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀╱ the way i knew this was based off our hc.. eugh, hold me.. /affec⠀⠀⠀⠀there 's something about cho being the one to help cirrus break or at least change their strictly set routine in both universes.

“the town is so pretty this time of year. don’t you think so?” cho glanced up at cirrus, a smile set on the princess’s face. while she was told to remain in the castle for the holidays by her mother (much to her dismay), she remained by the window, staring outside in awe. the town was covered in red and green lights, some switching on as soon as the sun began to set and others waiting until the moon was fully up before turning theirs on instead.
“hey.. you won’t tell my mother if i sneak out, will you? come along with me! that way, we can explore the market when it’s the holiday season! mother /never/ lets me explore. she says it’s too /crowded/. but i don’t care! as long as you’re there with me, it should be fine, right?” the girl laughed cheerfully, turning to finally face her knight as she tore her eyes from the window.
“don’t you wanna have fun instead of being cooped up in here all night? i mean, /come on/. what good will that do us? people are so cheery this time of year, and if i put on some different clothes so i look like a townsperson, in theory, none of them will notice us!” she exclaimed, eyes twinkling with mischief. “what do you say?”

@liqhthearts .. ⠀⠀⠀⠀kishi 's gaze was drawn out to where cho herself had been staring, a small smile on their own lips, even if it hadn 't reached their eyes.⠀⠀⠀⠀this time of the year always brought memories back to the noble, happier ones than the most.. the holidays were a special thing to them in their hometown. and seeing the kingdom celebrate as well, well... it gave them a piece of home, almost.⠀⠀⠀⠀❝ ... i do, my liege. ❞⠀⠀⠀⠀brief words, something common for them even still... though there was a lighter tone to them this time around. though now cirrus finds themselves staring at her for a few moments, a few blinks as they process what she 's saying —- that is, before their eyes furrow.⠀⠀⠀⠀❝ princess —- you know i can 't allow that. ❞⠀⠀⠀⠀a small breath of exasperation, though it wasn 't meant in any disdain from the knight.⠀⠀⠀⠀❝ if the queen finds out i let you out in town without her permission... ❞⠀⠀⠀⠀the knight 's expression is knitted together, they had a habit of relenting under cho 's requests... much to their own dismay. thankfully, they had managed to somehow smooth it over with her mother... well, some stuff, not all.. but she would be safe under their protection. they had sworn her life to her, after all,⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀they had been hired to protect her.. so how could they be so reckless all the time to let her do as she asks .ᐣ but... there was something about cho that just... had cirrus' duty turning almost unbearably /soft/. their gaze lingered on her for a moment more before they turned away, facing the window fully once more. hands were clasped together in front of them and there was another sigh.⠀⠀⠀⠀❝ princess, i... suppose it would be well to permit, just this once... as long as i 'm at your side, so i can keep you in my sights... ❞⠀⠀⠀⠀. . . the things they would do for the girl they loved.. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀╱ i missed them so bad, pls dni rn :weep: /affec they 're everything to me.. :]

SAW THIS .ᐣ.ᐣ⠀⠀⠀WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOUUUU, GET THEM OUT MY HEAD. /affec and it 's always a thing of cirrus insisting they escort her back to her chambers, but cho ends up convincing them to take the strolls, it just becomes a thing for the two of them :')) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀and... and when cho is killed, cirrus still ends up expecting to see cho basically waiting for them to come find her, ⠀⠀in the same spot each night,⠀⠀⠀so when they get to that spot in their patrol and cho isn 't there...⠀⠀⠀the grief hits them all over again, every night... :[

on their and their childhood best friends' goal to become apart of the knights round table , cirrus and him go out on a training quest for their duty . however , along the way , they're cornered — and they both know they can't get out alive . because they don't have a way to save them this time . help arrives but not soon enough . for by the time cirrus is pulled away from the danger — they spot /him/ and his corpse. they push through , running to him as fast as their legs can take them . and as they hold his body in their arms, they scream for not only was their childhood best friend slaughtered in front of them — they just lost their first love . this is what made their eyes go cold , what made them turn their back on the world ... because being forecfully dragged away from his body broke something in them that day .

cirrus pledges themselves to the crown , their undying fidelity , their life and whatever they have is to serve the kingdom upon finally achieving their goal in life . they remain cold , scared to let people in upon losing the person who meant most — let alone their own family in an attack on a village . cirrus couldn't protect any of them ... which drove them to where they stood now . they were soon assigned as the princess's own protector ... which changed them . cirrus begins to open themselves up again ... in turn , they became overprotective , worrisome ..

cirrus kishi is faced with a war they never thought would be bestowed so soon , they play the act of the betrayed & the betrayer ... but they don't make it out either way . your knight is kneeling in front of you , their own sword pierced through their torso as blood spilled from them . their world was fading and it was fading quick . they knew they were spent as they bled out on the battle field ... the way they always knew they 'd die .. fighting .
