⠀⠀⠀ [suddenly, isuel is incredibly hot despite the relatively cool temperature of the room that she currently stands in. she inhales sharply, her dark gaze fixed on one of the multitude of good-looking pastries on the table, but finds none of them to be appealing in this moment. no, she had not properly interacted with vampires before. this was who she was taught to be—- a killer who showed her victims no interest. she’s never once regretted it before. but now, as her sweaty palms run down the fabric of her rather intricately designed dress, she finds herself to be in the wrong. she finds herself to be just as much of a monster as she viewed them to be. how many had she killed that didn’t deserve it? how many had she killed that wanted to live a normal life?] right. [it is all that she can speak, the only word that can slip past her lips as she reevaluates her entire life and every choice that she’s made. oh, how she should wish that she never met elijah mikaelson.] do you.. perhaps have a balcony or something that i could step onto for a moment? [no lie escapes her now, but she does not go into detail. her parents would surely hate her right now, smite her if they could.]

@bIoodiedhands Despite what you might think, we are not complete rabid animals. You seem to forget that we once were human too. Perhaps it was a very long time ago, but that part of us will always be there. And despite what you might think, and the fact this may be an elaborate way for Niklaus to garner support, we are not going to treat out guests so poorly. That would defeat the purpose, would it not? * she was right about it being mostly his idea, but Rebekah played her part, of course, and Niklaus, despite being Nikaus, had some manners and etiquette when it came to hosting such events * You haven't taken a moment to speak to a lot of vampires, have you? I think if you did, you would find that not all are the mindless beasts that you hunt down. Those are simply the worst of us. It would amaze you just how many if us can live in a normal society.

⠀⠀⠀ [isuel stares at elijah, dark hues almost entirely hidden beneath her bangs given their lovely height difference. she raises an eyebrow slightly before she bites down on the inside of her lip, turning her gaze to the buffet table entirely now. she shifts her weight onto one leg, allowing her hand to rest on the cover of the buffet table. she wonders, in this moment, what the hell she’s really doing here.] i didn’t realize you cared about your guests. [she says finally, trying to figure out precisely what she would like to eat. she doesn’t even know if she wants to eat anything, actually.] i can’t imagine that it’s the original hybrid, so it must be your idea. [just another thing that conflicts her—- he is different from the normal vampires that she’s meant, and she doesn’t know if he’s the only one.]
