@Somerschool Funny you should ask that. "Are physical handicaps really a detriment in space?" That's the question that first tickled my mind and got me started on the project. In fact, space could be very liberating to a handicap person. After all, it doesn't matter if you have thin bones or no legs in zero gravity. But there's still that perception of being handicapped and all the coping mechanisms, sense of loss, and bitterness that hang on. That felt like fertile ground for exploring... The rest of the crew is introduced in the next chapter and start getting fleshed out from there. If you're up for reviewing more, fire away! Naturally, I'll take a swing at any of yours.
