Hey! Nothing’s /wrong/, exactly, it’s just that Wattpad has never been the first place I post fics and the lack of engagement here ( as compared to ao3) was a little disheartening. Which is no one’s fault, of course. Least of all readers like you who did comment, vote, etc. I guess I just found more of a main audience on ao3. I hope I don’t sound like I’m hoarding validation and withholding content when I don’t get enough of it, but I’m sure as a fellow writer you can understand the fear of putting so much work into a piece and then not having it be received as well. Plus, I’m hardly ever active here, so I’m a little out of touch with the site itself.
By the way, nothing is deleted, just unpublished. At some point I might republish. Honestly it was a decision I made while I was in a pretty bad headspace, so I didn’t think it through very well. I don’t regret it exactly, though. I’m sorry to dump everything out (in a Wattpad message of all places), but I thought I owed some form of explanation.
Anyway, I wanted to thank you for the recommendation! It means a lot to have people share my stuff out. On another note, I would recommend starsarewrong on ff.net. She’s a wonderful writer and a good friend who would appreciate such supportive readers as yourself!
