I think I've got it, you could do a combination of a naginata and a reverse blade katana, in which a reverse blade katana is basically a mercy blade. Where the ha- the blade piece, lacks a cutting edge and instead the cutting edge is on its back! The reverse blade katana is a peaceful weapon designed not for killing, though if you edited it a little, it's front could still be there for mercy, in which its still dull and only strong enough to knock out a person.. but also make the back of the weapon designed for killing instead, now if you added the naginata part-

The weapon would be mainly a staff, the end being a reverse blade though. Partly made for knocking out, the other for killing. Or you could make it so by pressing a button on the weapon, something covers up the cutting edge making it still perfect as a reverse blade.

Too sum it up, there would be a staff, the main piece, and a reverse blade at the end. The front, the usual cutting part, would be a duller or fake(in a way..) part, while the back, the usually dull and flat area, be a sharp and pointy edge for slicing!

@kogaraka I actually think that's an amazing idea, it'd be perfect as well! It'd also be perfect for y/n and their skills, so I'm all for the idea :3

@Some-Dumb-Alien i have an idea. i can take the naginata and have two blades for it: one will have a poisonous tip to it which will be made for thrusting it into the flesh and killing the opponent, and the other will be non-poisonous in which is more dull and made for knocking out the opponent. there will be some sort of button to switch between the blades and they'll look the same so that (if the opponent doesn't have a sharp eye) can't tell the difference between the two

I just finished the newest chapter >:DD

          As for what weapon?

It depends on a few factors, being our skills, species, and what we're comfortable with! Taking Mikey for an example, he's a box turtle, which are usually more flexible due to their plastrons top center. The top center is a flexible hinge that usually allows the front and rear of the lower shell to press against the upper shell, which just means he's flexible. Mikey has also practiced his acrobatics, and other stuff which adds to his skill set! Making a kusari fundō a perfect weapon for him, as it combines flexibility and striking power into a singular weapon.

Another example, Donnie. He's a softshell turtle, which are somewhat flexible, but sense Donnie isn't comfortable with being vulnerable, he has his battle shell. His weapon, the bō staff is perfect for flexibility, striking power, thrusting, poking and keeping your opponent at a distance. Which is also a good weapon for Donnie!

So to sum it up, it really depends on species, skills, and comfortability! If you need any help with picking a turtle species, weapon, or making a skill set for our main character I can help >:3
