            pale  pink  eyes  stare  through  the  rim  of  rounded  shades,  the  broker’s  fingers  halting  over  the  keys  on  his  laptop.  he’d  been  so  engrossed  by  his  work  that  he  hadn’t  even  noticed  the  boy’s  presence  ⸻  at  least,  not  until  he  perches  himself  upon  giran’s  desk.  the  older  man  leans  back  against  his  seat,  tilting  his  head  with  an  air  of  mild  nonchalance.

            it’s  less  of  a  reprimand  and  more  of  an  offhanded  comment,  but  the  genuine  cluelessness  in  the  boy’s  eyes  has  giran  feeling  a  little  bad.  he  sighs,  and  waves  his  hand  dismissively.
