Hello, I just wanted to let you guys know that I will no longer be publishing my writing on this app. Wattpad deleted Red Bullets in June without warning because I violated their “policies/guidelines,” but did not tell me how or why or give me a chance to fix it. I got on the app a month ago and the story was gone along with a message and email from Wattpad that the story had been deleted. Wattpad did not save the story and I did not have it backed up anywhere else (I know I should have), so I no longer have the story. I will have to re-write the entire thing.
I am just now letting you know because this was very upsetting and I was in denial about it for a month. Red Bullets in June took me 11 years to complete and now I am going to have to start over. It is a horrible feeling to put so much work into something for so many years just to have it deleted without warning or a chance to fix whatever was “wrong” with it (I still don’t know, they won’t tell me). It’s been very hard to come to terms with and I learned I do not trust publishing my writing on this app if this is how they handle violations.
I am now beginning the process of rewriting Red Bullets in June and this time, I will take it to a publisher, have hard copies printed and sell it in stores. This will probably take me a few years, but that is the plan.
