I'm either going to get support or going to get shitted on for my opinion. This is a rant. Take this as a grain of salt.
Here's the thing, after being on Tumblr for so long, eating up a tons of variety of reader inserts, I think I have the right to say...
It's still a reader insert even if it described some physical traits.
Yes, you can write the whole fic with very vague/non-comforming traits but there will be a time where you need to describe the said trait. I believe it is still a reader insert book if you get to put your name in it.
Why is everyone so scared to read and live a fictional life of someone else? Are you scared to read a fic of an Asian reader? Are you scared to read a fic about a plus-size reader? Are you scared to read a book of a ginger haired reader?
What are you so afraid of? Why are you scared of a very physically detailed reader? I understand there are preferences but I am tired of people shitting on reader insert fics just because they gave the reader some physically detailed traits.
If you can accept a reader that has a different personality than you, then why can't you accept a physically detailed reader?
Take my opinion as a grain of salt but when I published my book with a physically detailed reader, you better not shit on me because you Wattpad readers can be better than Tumblr readers if you ever tried.
