@kosmicstvrz • I agree with you 100%, but I feel like in SOME cases people feel guilty for not choosing their friends. Or maybe that’s a me thing- :sob: like, I feel like if I didn’t choose my friends, they would hate me- :pensive: or maybe I just think about it too much- lol

anyone else notice how cliquey applyfics have suddenly become???
it’s insane, just 3 years ago it was a new-ish and kind community but my god some of yall have become so rude and isolating to other oc creators just because you don’t know them. it’s so easy as an author to like everyones comment when they add an oc…the blatant favoritism over the years has made me not want to apply to certain ones/certain authors ever.

@tarotszn oh absolutely!! there’s so much favoritism w/ mutuals and it’s so disappointing to see bc for some oc’s i’d spend days writing out lore & adding it all into their forms & then they just weren’t picked at all! & the diversity issue is such a huge problem too :/ like there’s so many poc actors out there…use them!

AGREE so so much, i literally stopped applying for af’s for over a year because of it. i would work so hard to make a really cohesive form and pick an uncommon fc only for them to pick their friends who couldn’t be bothered to string two sentance answers together. another thing that really bothers me about applyfics is the amount of whiteness in them. all these authors will say “i want diversity!” and then pick 99% white cast.. like huh?? the only thing they want to diversify is the orientations of the cast so they can seem woke. i got tired of it.
