i have come to add to add to the angst. the train comes once a year, and sometimes ghostbur is able to make it on, itll ride past the smp and then take him back to limbo and he has to wait another year to see everyone again. sometimes, he never makes it on and lives in regret for a year, just waiting.

hi here’s the thing that i made and it’s angst (headcanon: when Wilbur was revived and Ghostbur was put in limbo, the train arrived and Ghostbur saw it leave. That’s why he’s waiting for someone to come pick him up, because he’s seen the train come and go so he has hope that it’ll come and pick him up.)

“Tommy! Tommy you lied. You said it would be okay! You sai-“
          *[Ghostbur was slain by Dream]*

The sound of a train horn echoed through the air as it pulled up to the station, Ghostbur gasped as he saw Wilbur, he didn’t know where he was going or why Wilbur was here.
“Wilbur? Where are we?” He asked as he got off the train, Wilbur glared at him and got onto the train, not saying a word. “Wilbur? Wilbur did you hear me?”
“Yes, I heard you. Have fun.” Wilbur snapped as the door closed.
“Wilbur, Wilbur I don’t know where I am. What about Friend?”
Wilbur said something, but Ghostbur couldn’t hear it over the horn and through the train door. As the train pulled away, tears welled up in Ghostburs eyes as he realized where he was. Limbo. The place where Wilbur had spent 13 years. He sat down on the floor, a million thoughts racing through his head. *’What about Friend? And everyone else? What will happen while I’m gone? How will I get out of here? Will the train come back? It has to come back…right?’*

It’s been 2,150 days. Ghostbur is still in Limbo, waiting for the train to come back and pick him up. He knows it probably never will.
