Try to do a book, don't be insecure about your work, everyone has a different definition of great, nice, amazing, best and fantastic. Its your book you're working on, no one could stop you as long as you love what youre doing, as long as you are comfortable with it and not forced to do it.
If you want to do a book, then do it, don't worry about what will others negatively say, take that to see what's wrong and what you need to improve, but I know, in the end, it would be your decision.
