Disclaimer: My stories may be fanfiction but I am not trying to emulate the people depicted. A lot of the time it's just completely new characters with familiar names and faces. Call it lazy if you want. I personally think it's the best way to reach a wider audience and still show people who you're a fan of at the moment.
