            Omg okay so first:
            
            Immediately after the events at starcourt, I can see ruby not knowing what to do besides scream & cry so steve spend the night with her bc he doesnt want to leave her alone while shes grieving. 
            
            When Joyce mentions the idea of her & the boys leaving with them for Cali, its ruby that mentions El leaving with them too bc she knows she wont be able to properly take care of El. 
            
            When El finds the letter from Hopper, ruby gets extremely upset bc why didnt he write her one ?? Why just El ? It hurts her so badly.
            
            Robin, Steve & Ruby all work together at family video. Robin feels kinda awkward stuck between the two bc they have a whole are they getting back together or not type thing. 
            
            During the grieving process steve is by her side all the time. He wants to help so he sits & listens. He helps her clean the cabin & repair it. He helps take her grocery shopping & overall helps take care of her bc he can tell shes really not in the right state of mind rn. 
            
            Ruby starts to feel like shes falling love with steve again so she tries to make a move but he rejects her, he tells her shes in too much pain rn to properly know how shes feeling. But him doing that pisses her off, she doesnt want steve to tell her how shes feeling, clearly she knows how she feels & she feels fine. ( no shes not shes lying to herself <//3 ). She kicks steve out of the cabin & tries to avoid him. 
            
            She starts to switch her shifts so she never runs into him, she starts taking the bus ( bc driving Hoppers truck is too much for her, just seeing it makes her want to cry. ), she starts ignoring his calls. Whenever robin even mentions steve she walks away from her. 
            
            Eventually she starts getting headaches, cant sleep, nosebleeds. She doesnt know it but vecna is slowing taking her over. <//3
