heyyy ! was reading head over heels and at the end of chap 2 it says something abt a lucas fic is it still ind the works or is it scrapped ?

update: i just finished st 5 and there may be a delay on all my st fics. i'm sorry, i just had a lot going on in my personal life recently and the only motivation i have for fic writing is au's so the fics might not get updated until at least in a month or two. idk yet? also that ending kinda wrecked me lol

I also want Charles to say this quote at the very end of the series finale: The Rightside Up sometime after they all killed Vecna, saved Holly and the other 12 kids, and stopping the Merge between the Abyss and Hawkins (since it comes out today on New Year's Eve): “Life is short… so we have to live it. Love is rare… so we can grab it and hold onto the people who care about us. Anger is bad… but we can dump it and let it go. Fear is awful… but we can face it. And Memories… memories are sweet. And we… we should cherish each and every one of them.”
          
          In The Rightside Up (which comes out today), Charles takes a deep breath, then begins, voice quiet but steady:
          “We’ve been through so much in the past four years… everything we’ve ever faced… it’s like the world has been trying to break us over and over. From the very beginning—losing people we loved, fighting monsters we didn’t understand, watching our friends disappear… and somehow, here we are. We survived. We didn’t just survive—we kept fighting, kept protecting each other, even when it felt impossible. And every time one of us fell, someone else was always there to pick us up. That’s what made us stronger.”
          He pauses, letting the words sink in. He looks at each person, meeting their eyes one by one.
          “Remember, everyone. Life is short… so we have to live it. Love is rare… so we can grab it and hold onto the people who care about us. Anger is bad… but we can dump it and let it go. Fear is awful… but we can face it. And memories… memories are sweet. And we… we should cherish each and every one of them.”

Here is what Season 5 Chapter One: The Crawl can start off with as an alternate opening: Instead of the Wheelers (like in the original episode), 16 Will, 20 Jonathan, and 46 Joyce can stay at Charles’s house with him, and his mom: Sarah, and his grandparents in 1987 (nineteen months after the Rift incidents)! You know what I mean? And when 16 Charles, 16 Will, 16 Lucas, and 16 Mike lay low when they arrive at Hawkins High School, though 16 Dustin provokes the school basketball team by continuing to honor Eddie Munson, and when they see Dustin with Andy, Charles charges forward and punches and kicks Andy, flips him on the ground, and kneels over him and repeatedly punches him by giving him a bloody nose and Charles shouts out: “You done yet?!, then he punches Andy again and says: “Stay the f@% away from Dustin and my friends.”, then Charles punches Andy again and as Charles gets up, he looks around at all of the other students and shouts out: “Anyone else want a broken nose?”, and they just turn around and walk away.
          
          Here is what happened in the actual part of the episode to tie this alternate scene together: At Hawkins High, Dustin is the target of the basketball jock’s bullying due to him still wearing Hellfire Club attire and remaining a defender of Eddie Munson. Andy, the ringleader, pins Dustin against the wall after mouthing off to him, beginning to rip the collar of his Hellfire shirt. Lucas interferes, reminding Andy of when his younger sister, Erica, kicked him in the crotch, threatening to do worse if he touched Dustin again. When Charles, Mike and Will approach as well, Andy backs off, but not before threatening Dustin to not promote anything Hellfire Club related. And that is what leads to the whole Charles punching scene.
