          I’ve been away for a while, but I haven’t been idle. Over the past months, I’ve done an intensive revision of the beginning of the book *Heir of Ashes*, based on the feedback you gave me, and I’ve rewritten chapters 7 through 24 (and chapter 59).
          
          I changed the order of several events in the first part, focusing on improving the pacing. Now there’s more tension and mystery leading into the second part. I hope this will work as a better hook. If you’ve already finished reading and are interested in the specifics of the changes, feel free to reach out—I’d be more than happy to discuss them with you :D
          
          Among the changes, I’ll be treating chapters 1 through 5 as a prologue. The first part of the story will now begin with chapter 6.
          
          This hiatus (along with some personal matters) has affected the progress of the second book, Mistress of Chaos, so I’ll be adjusting its expected release date to 2027.

I’ve noticed how most of my readers are quiet, introspective souls, just like me. I guess I attract people of a similar nature? 
          
          Even though you’re quiet, I see the numbers rising daily, so I know you’re all here. Thank you so much for stopping by and bringing life to the questionable voices in my head. 
          
          I know I’ve been absent this month; a lot has been going on in my personal life. I'm renovating my apt, I have bridesmaid duty, and my cat got sick. But I haven’t forgotten any of my commitments; I just wanted to ask for your patience.

          Well, it's been quite a journey. This story started out so small, just an idea to practice my English writing, and now it's a 190k-word, 60-chapter behemoth. 
          There were sleepless nights with ideas bubbling in my head, BIZARRE research (I swear, the authorities must suspect I'm a psycho) and many debates with the story's fairy godmother, my beloved friend and great inspiration @Machado-Ribeiro <3
