HAPPY 1ST ANNIVERSARY CURLIESSS NAKIN
Grabe, what a journey it has been. I remember that time na tumigil talaga ako sa pagsusulat way back 2023, kasi you know walang masyadong nagbabasa. And I remember, last year June 23, last birthday ko, may napanood akong video from a writer who talked about how hard it is to write the first 10 chaps. That started the spark again and dun napukaw yung passion ko sa pagsusulat again. Kaya sabi ko, mahirap ba? Kaya tinry ko, I started again the same day last year I published my first ever BL novel, The Lost Fragments of My Mind (formerly Out of My Head), at dun na nagsunod‑sunod.
At first, wala talagang nagbabasa just like what happened last time. But when I entered this community, marami talaga akong natutunan. I learned how to cope with these doubts to continue. They taught me how to ignore the numbers of reads and votes, and it made me realize that those numbers were just nothing. Well, it's honesty heartwarming to see these numbers growing, but if you'll think about those numbers all the time, you won't grow as a writer. And that lesson will always be with me— I don't just write because of these numbers. I write because this is my passion. We write because we want to share our words to someone who needs them.
To all writers, please don't stop— just take a rest if you want to, then keep bleeding if everything's okay. To all readers, may you find stories that will heal the wounds you've been carrying. To my curlies, I hope you find my stories uplifting and inspiring. As much as possible, I'll always bring my heart to the crafts I make, and I'm so happy that you all appreciate the words I write. May we continue to grow together, and I'm happy to share stories with you guys. You'll always have a place in my heart, curlies.
