In my story, should I continue the transition into the present, or should I go back to the present and finish Riley's back-story as we continue through the main plot(him actually talking to Jaylen and getting to know him)?

For anyone reading my book, I will be changing the title and the protagonist, Riley. Please don't be upset because this change will help me get rid of my writers block and ACTUALLY update.

I just uploaded chapter 1 to my FIRST book. It would be awesome if y'all would at least read my book, I'm work hella hard on it. ❤️
