 #1  it's very easy to bribe ( or threaten ) him into doing things  ,  even if he really really doesn't want to do them.
             #2  often seen clinging on to someone  ,  even the people who've hurt him.  not only does it ground him but they also hate being alone.
             #3  has the barest amounts of an education.  he can read and count but that's about it.  the lab only teaches them what they think is important.  they need both of those for certain tests.
             #4  has a bad habit of staring at people.  they don't blink while they do it  ,  so it adds to the discomfort they're causing.
             #5  bites at his fingers.  used to bite his nails  ,  but then he had them removed as a punishment  ,  and now it hurts to mess with them.  bites hard enough to make himself bleed.  their fingers often have bandages around them because of this.
             #6  they have a really high pain tolerance.  it takes a lot to get them to react.  some scientists find it fun to try and test this limit.
             #7  has a singular stuffed animal but they're not allowed to have it without supervision.  it's not because they fear what he could do with it  ,  but because he tore their previous one in the midst of an episode and proceeded to have a horrible breakdown.  they prefer them in a state in which they'll listen within much of a fight.
             #8  he's crazed but sweet.  he's somehow managed to maintain his empathy.
             #9  likes to sit in corners  —  they usually put him in a position where they can see the whole room.  this is how they're normally found when they're retrieved in a test.  he rocks himself while in this position  —  he'll even hum at times too.  
             #10  he gets overwhelmed when the voices get too loud.  he covers his ears whenever they're alone  ,  but that doesn't actually do anything besides ground them some.  they'll panic if it gets to be too much.  this usually leads to them crying.

damage has been caused to their body in countless ways  —  they don't care if he breaks.  he's expendable  —  just a necessary sacrifice for the sake of knowledge.
            
            because of this  ,  fu suffers from numerous side effects.
            
            ⁿ⁰·¹  they suffer from severe auditory hallucinations.  often times he'll be listening to a scenario that isn't truly happening.  conversations  ,  screaming  ,  sounds  —  just about anything.  he can be found talking to himself because of this.  they'll also go around with their ears covered if its possible.
            
            ⁿ⁰·²  he's had visual hallucinations for a while  ,  but they've never been consistent.  only recently have they started to get worse.  if he's able to  ,  he'll touch someone before interacting with them.  just to make sure they're there.
            
            ⁿ⁰·³  twitches a lot.
            
            ⁿ⁰·⁴  untreated insomnia  —  they're aware of it  ,  they've just decided to study the effects on his body instead of treating it.
            
            ⁿ⁰·⁵  he's usually pretty quiet and compliant but they do have episodes in which they grow angry or unreasonably giddy.
            
            ⁿ⁰·⁶  his hair has already started to turn grey.  it's a mix of grey and black.
            
            ⁿ⁰·⁷  dissociates frequently.  that's how they spend most of their time.
            
            ⁿ⁰·⁸  numb to most pain.  if he reacts then that means the test is excruciatingly painful.
            
            ⁿ⁰·⁹  his development has been stunted.  he's a few years younger mentally than he is physically.  

fu is the son of two scientists.  two parents who love science far more than they love their child.  fu isn't part of them  —  not truly  ,  at least.  while their birth had been planned  ,  they never wanted a child.  they wanted a test subject.
            
            the two of them work in a lab dedicated to human experimentation.  coercing people into signing their lives away was no longer enough for them though.  those people had all already lived their lives.  they wanted to know what would happen to a subject that's exposed to experimentation at a young age.
            
            who better to experiment on than their own blood?
            
            fu began tests shortly after he turned one.  now seventeen  ,  he's known only a life of suffering.  even so  ,  he's never really thought about escaping  —  he doesn't really know that there   /  is  /   an outside world.  to them  ,  the lab is all that exists.
