Pitter patter, pitter patter, the rain kept falling in rhythmic beats, his heart too getting caught up in it's frequency as he let his gaze travel upon her. he caught the small of her tension and the subtlety of her glance, a grin spreading on his lips as he walked past the glass door to the balcony. all around, glass windows were protecting them from rain, except from the front, where amara was standing, grip tight of the iron railing. his eyes traveled to the street, people's laughing and children's playful noise could be heard. he caught the subtle shift in wind as he had come closer and at once took a hold of her wrist and pulled her toward him while turning his back towards the open. rain fell upon him, slipping under the white of his button up shirt and staining it subtly, yet the impact of her upon his chest stood the only thing noticeable to him. matvey looked down upon her as his other hand had traveled to her back without knowing when unconsciously. a beat passed, then two, before he spoke.
"you're beautiful" the words left decicive from his lips and his gaze lingered in a language of it's own. "remember the games we used to play? on the rainy days." he spoke up a few moments later with a warmth that could be felt.
"it was like a tradition and.. what is a man to do if not to follow traditions?"
