Hey lovelies!
As some of you know, *The Witching Hour* is book two in my *Battle for the High Crown* trilogy. Writing Cin’s journey—and now Mera’s—has been such a joy. Initially, I didn’t plan for this to become a trilogy, but it naturally evolved into one. I wanted to give Tamlin a healing arc (since everyone else seemed to get one), which is how Hyacinth’s story came to be. Once Tamlin had his happily ever after, I realized there were still so many unresolved injustices—especially in the Night Court, which became impossible to ignore after I read *A Court of Silver Flames*. (That book... so many red flags!)
That’s where Mera comes in. Her story allows me to address some of those wrongs, though I know I won’t be able to fix everything. And that’s a compromise I’m okay with. If I can only help a part of the Night Court, I’d choose Illyria over Velaris any day.
But back to *The Witching Hour*! It’s officially completed and edited, though I’m still releasing one chapter a week. In the meantime, I’ve started working on the third and final book. I haven’t settled on a title yet, but I LOVE where the story is going, and I think you will too. It’s a dual-perspective story, switching between Cin and Mera. The plans I have for it give me chills—I can’t wait for you to read it!
My goal is to finish the third book by the time all the chapters of The Witching Hour are uploaded. If I do, I promise to release the final book with a new chapter every day, so you can read it as soon as possible. If not, I’ll post two chapters a week until it's done.
I just wanted to keep you all updated. I’m so, so, SO excited and can barely contain myself!
xx
