guys i just rewatched the outsiders for the first time since like grade 8 and like dally was misunderstood. he acted tough and stuff because he didnt want anyone to see his real side. i think he really actually wanted them to figure out that he was kinda broken and stuff but then johnny dies and johnny was all dally ever wanted to be like. in the book pony says that dallys death was gonna be like that and dally couldnt take it anymore. i figured this out bc i feel how he feels lol
