I'm L.D. Greenwood

I was about five when I first realized that the books I loved so much were written by people and didn't appear out of the forest of shelves at my local bookstores. My first attempts at writing were letters to my mom's co-workers, telling them that they were either pretty or they were mean and fired. I don't remember what my criteria was, but I'm pretty sure only my mother thought I was cute.

I was in middle school when I wrote my first original story. It was 200 hand-written pages about a vampire and in the end, everyone died. My friend sat on the bus next to me and read the pages as I finished them, and then he wrote his book report on my work.

He actually got a grade, y'all!

Since then, I was completely hooked. I wanted to write stories for everyone, and I did. I wrote for so long and so many random stories, that I filled hundreds of pages with my looping words, and not much has changed (although I use a computer to write now)

I write romantic fantasy, paranormal romance, and urban fantasy romance. I love stories with people that have strong convictions and believe in the power of love and kindness. My stories aren't meant to be realistic, because the best part about reading, is the ability to escape from reality.
