[   harley  nodded  in  response,   not  exactly  trusting  his  voice  not  to  give  him  away  more.   he  sniffled  some  as  he  turned  to  face  the  wall  so  he  didn’t  have  to  face  dani.   nothing  against  her,   of  course,   he  just  didn’t  need  it  made  more  obvious  that  his  statement  was  a  complete  lie.   ]    thanks.             yeah  .  um  ,  i  made  hot  chocolate  .  if  you'd  like  some  .    *  the  younger  boy's  flushed  nose  &&  cheeks  give  him  away  ,  as  well  as  the  choked  up  congestion  in  his  voice  ,  but  dani  knows  better  than  to  press  .  she's  been  in  that  position  so  many  times  she's  lost  count  ,  running  cold  water  in  the  bathroom  to  hide  the  sound  of  her  sobs  because  it's  just  too  damn  painful  to  explain  to  anybody  .  *

                *  the  blonde  simply  shakes  her  head  ,  terrified  to  open  her  mouth  &&  risk  breaking  down  into  tears  in  front  of  the  younger  girl  .  she's  already  cried  three  times  today  &&  she'd  rather  not  make  it  an  even  four  .  still  ,  it  brings  dani  comfort  to  know  somebody  cares  about  her  .  *

[ although the eye contact being a bit uncomfortable for a moment,  max offers the older a small smile.  almost sympathetic.  she really doesn’t know what is taking her over,  talking to a stranger in the middle of an airport,  but she finds some comfort in talking to her. ]     yeah , yeah , no , i’m all good . everyone needs someone to talk to sometimes , you know ?

                *  the  psych  student  simply  blinks  ,  confusion  evident  in  her  tired  hazel  eyes  .  now  that's  a  question  she's  not  used  to  hearing  .  when  dani  summons  enough  courage  to  meet  the  redhead's  gaze  ,  she  IMMEDIATELY  recognizes  the  pain  in  her  eyes  ,  &&  it  hits  her  :  they're  both  mourning  .  they've  both  lost  somebody  close  to  them  .  *    are  you  sure  ?  i  don't  want  to  burden  you  .
