I finished all my homework and I made my bed so neat
          I put my best toys out to see from the window on the seat
          The clock hand keeps on moving, past the time you stay you'd call
          I keep my favorite drawing taped right on the kitchen wall
          It's like I'm standing on the sidewalk, watching everyone drive by
          With a homemade sign that just says 'why?'
          You said tomorrow but your tomorrow never came
          And I think that waiting is a self inflicted game
          I'm tired of waiting,I was never good at chase
          Save the good spots for the kids who know their place

          My backpacks heavy with the books I like to read
