I just finished watching the movie Sound of Freedom. It's an intense movie but an important one. Important isn't the word; there are over two million trafficked children across the world, and the least we can do is to watch a story based on one of them.
This movie isn't necessarily for everyone, but even if you are sensitive, please think twice about skipping it. There are no fully explicit sex scenes. Though there are several scenes heavily suggesting what happens next, everything is as tastefully done as possible while keeping the reality of the situation alive. I was on the fence at first, because I am on the sensitive side. My siblings convinced me to go, and I am so glad I went. Because this is real, and it's happening whether or not you want to think about it.
If you're thinking about seeing it, there are free tickets available through a Pay-It-Forward plan set up by the movie's studio at angel.com/freedom. If you're still not interested, thank you at least for reading this and spending a minute of your time thinking about these children. And if you're Christian, take a second to pray: for these kids and for the heroes fighting to save them. Also, pray for the wicked people who support and take part in this, that they repent of the enormous evil they have caused before they meet the Judge of all.
God's children are not for sale.
