im about to scream i just finished plotting my camp nanowrimo project!! are any of y'all participating this year? no shame if your answer is no :)
i've been converted to a plotter and outliner rather than a pantser/plantser for the past few months. ive started plotting some other projects that i'll focus more on after nano, but this nano project is the first truly-plotted wip ive finished!!
i've been working on my main book, itmb (release date july 4th, 2023) since 2020, and haven't done any detailed plotting like i do now, rather all-over-the-place outlines, which is most definitely why it's taken nealry three years and loads of rewrites to complete! im still working on it. the other eight books planned for the series + any novellas and spinoffs will definitely be plotted thoroughly.
though a pain at times, plotting can be fun and IT'S A LIFESAVER OMG it makes things go so much smoothly, provides a plan and guide for when the actual writing begins, and prevents major plot-holes. i'm totally open to publishing a quick little guide on this platform (since i never post on here lol) about my writing processes and tips if anyone's interested <3
also, midnights is SO good wow. it took a few listens, but here are my thoughts: rep and lover beats with 1989 production, folklore/evermore/red tv lyrics, + a bit of speak now nostalgia. thoughts??
how is everyone? drink some water, eat, text someone you love, stretch, sleep, pray if you're religious, light and candle or turn on your diffuser. play with your pet, say hi to your family, read a few pages of a book. take a deep breath. you've got this <3
