hello everyone.
          I know i have been slacking with my uploads. to tell you the truth, the beginning of this year has been very hard for me. Besides dealing with a lot of family problems and personal health issues, I look at the current state of the world and, to be 100% honest, am growing more and more nihilistic. 
          All that is to say that I don’t think i’m in the right headspace to continue or edit my WIPs right now. I don’t know if I can write about the criminally ultra rich or some vampires dismissive of mortals while, in real life, billionaires murder, steal, displace, and genocide millions of people to line their pockets. 
          So, for now, I think i’ll put all my current work on pause. I might do ONC if the prompts inspire me, or create something out of the usual wheelhouse of this website. For now, though, I can’t work on anything that my heart isn’t truly in. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still really proud of everything I have on here, I’m just not in the right headspace to continue it. And i don’t want to deliver subpar quality to you guys. I hope you understand, and I’m sorry for leaving you in limbo for so long.

I know, I know, I come out of hiding after eons yet again. 
          To be honest, I had big plans for October and Halloween (a whole novella outlined, for one) but my mental health and ADHD decided to give me the biggest, fattest middle finger. 
          I didn't want to leave you guys with nothing at all, though, so here's a new chapter of SERPENTINE HEARTS that's long overdue. I'm so sorry for the wait. It was a hard one for me to write in my current mental state, and I'm still not totally sure about it, but I think this is as good as it's going to get until my revision process. 
          I have quite a few chapters pre written, so hopefully we should be back to our normal schedule soon! Sorry for the wait again, and thanks for sticking with me if you have!

          Sorry for the unexpected month-long wait everyone. Life has been very hectic lately, and this chapter has seen many rewrites before I arrived on something I was happy with. So I know it's been a while, but a new SERPENTINE HEARTS chapter is live! I've struggled a little with characterization in here, as there are some battles this POV character has that I don't (and can never) understand as much as those who have the same societal setbacks, and I struggled with the tone a bit, so I rewrote this chapter about ten times. I don't know if I'm 100% happy with it yet, but I think I reached the point where I'm happy putting it out there. It's on the longer side, but I think this character deserves a deeper dive into his spyche right off the batt.

          I'm so thankful to all of you. Never thought that my silly little experiment with dark romance would gather that much attention. I hope you stick around for the rest of the rewrite and the subsequent books in the series, as I'm only planning on improving (and eventually publishing) it.
