Hi, It's Deborah my daughter's better, just one muscle spasm in 5 wks. Been a little stressful for me lately. Dr thinks I had a possible stroke in my eye. It's not in the brain, slight damage to the number 6 cranial nerve that controls the eye. The only thing they can confirm is that there is a small area in my extreme edge of vision that my brain refuses to process. The size of a clenched fist. Because of this I chose to give up my driver's license, there are others who drive here. It's a mystery, no one knows what, how or why.
I'm just happy to still be able to look at artwork, sculpture, read ffic's ect.
Going to physical therapy & other types of therapy. Scary there for a while, loosing your eyesight is an artists worst nightmare.
In a couple days I start wearing special prism eyeglasses that should retrain my eyes to focus together again. And possibly repair the damage to that nerve. With rehab even brain nerve cells can be repaired. We learned that with my friend Karen. She made medical history, I don't know if they recorded her name. But she was the 1st adult with adult nerve repair. So I know it can be done. Deb
