Avenir had her birthday the other day (aka the day I joined Wattpad 3 years ago)!! The story begins when she’s 19 so she’s 22 now. Many thanks for all of you still reading their story, the oneshots, ATBB…truly means the world. Many of us join this fandom as younger teens and phase out of it, either onto other fandoms or we phase onto A03. I’ve been a fan since 2012 and have seen many folks come and go ever since I became a member of the online fandom in 2019. It’s sad to see folks leave and still be here but guiding younger fans is also fun, and seeing the Joseph Quinn stan wave has been so interesting to me. Let the fandom never die. Long live the director’s cut petition; please sign if you haven’t already.
All of this to say, three years later, I’m not sure I’ll keep writing on here. I started this account when I was 17 and homesick during my first weeks at college; I’m now almost 21 and life is busy and taken me places I never dreamed it would go…and I would not be where I am today without Enjolras, without this musical, and frankly without this writing platform. Writing as Enjolras helped me learn how to write formally and professionally and has helped me earn many achievements.
This page will remain as an archive and if inspired by a sudden uptick in the fandom population or breaking of my writers block, become a place to keep writing. It is sad to see the fandom support for my work wane as Les Mis fans on this site grow few and far between but I will never forget all of you who helped me through the pandemic and the few who became lifelong friends. I love you all so much.
Our leader in red still has my heart as he always will. That will not change. He has helped me so much; Je T’aime, Enjolras.
