things that happened between the last time i logged into wattpad and now:
-i aged to older than rodrick
-i stopped writing fanfiction and migrated to substack to focus on my essay and narrative writing
-i was a speaker at my high school graduation
-i got into my dream college
          	-i tried to kms
          	-i survived!
          	-i turned 18
-i hit 300+ days sober for the first time since i was a teenager
-i kept falling in and out of love with writing
——but i grew substantially as a writer
——and ultimately realized i wanted to become a teacher
          	-i started bouldering
          	-i started sewing
          	-i learned to sing classically
          	-i finally made irl friends
          	-i realized i was probably cis (she/her)
-i fell for my best friend
          	——and now he’s my boy!
this is to say, hey guys <3 i actually logged into wattpad to delete my account but seeing all the lovely comments on add it up and golden hour got me feeling a bit nostalgic. writing was, truly, my first love, and for better or worse, fanfiction kept me writing. i migrated to ao3 but wrote oneshots before i discovered substack and started writing essays and narratives—which i’ve always preferred. but i wouldn’t be the writer i am today without all the love i got on the silly, cringey, self indulgent slop i wrote when i was 14. never be afraid to tell your favorite authors how much you love their work, because you never know what it will do for them <3

after much consideration, i have officially decided to continue golden hour. it’s not my best work. but i wanna see rodrick and ben get a cute little bittersweet ending. i’ll write one more chapter, because it’s been incredibly well received on both ao3 and wattpad! not every plot thread will have a satisfying conclusion delivered to it, but rodrick and ben’s relationship will hopefully end on a happy enough note :)
