i just finished reading - never let me go by kazou ishiguro and i also watched the movie adaptation. it made me feel empty and it’s oh so horribly beautiful, i recommend.

@Papiana14 basically it follows the lives of clones that are created for one sole purpose of donating their organs until they die. society only seeing them as personal gains, an abomination, beings who have no souls. so they are willing to cut their existence short to take that time away for themselves. though as we follow these clones lives, we see that they are sentient beings. capable of living complex lives and expressing intense emotions. it ultimately questions what makes a human, human. i hope that makes sense !
