Guys, fair warning... DO NOT EVER WORK AT A POULTRY PLANT OR ANY PLANT THAT HAS TO DO WITH ANIMALS, PLZZZZ. I just finished my first week at my new job, and of course, it's a poultry plant. Now, it started off easy cause it was just orientation but... after day 2, you start to actually work on the floor a little. Today, I finished orientation and I did 6 hrs on the floor. IT WAS TOURCHER. I had one of the easiest jobs and I still got injured. These jobs are typically always giving warnings because, since the workers do a repetitive movement for 8 or 9 hrs straight, it can actually disable someone. Well, my joints hurt and my bones down my forearms hurt. It's bad, its a really sucky job and I dont recommend it. They don't give bathroom breaks like that hardly at all and the lunch break is only 30 mins. Now, you're probably thinking, 30 mins? That's enough time... Well, it's not. We have to put on a bunch of things in the plant, and when we leave, we have to leave it inside the facility so that it doesn't get contaminated. Then, we have to rush to a DIFFERENT BUILDING to get our lunch. They expect us to use the bathroom and get back to the other building, get fully dressed and having aeten by the end of the 30 mins. It's practically impossible. It's almost like they're trying to sabotage their own employee's. It's really sucky guys, just dont work at any animal related facilities. Baked good and other products? Yeah, that's fine. Machinery or metals? Yeah, its not bad. Clothes or hygiene products? Easy. ANIMALS? NOOOOOOO
