Hi everyone! It’s been a while. I see a lot of people reading my fanfics, and that makes me so happy! Even if I don't reply to some comments, know that I see them and it genuinely brings a smile to my face whenever I see a notification that someone commented in any of my fanfics.
However, I’ve encountered a message recently where someone asked permission to translate my other fanfic into another language. While I do understand the intent of translating fanfics in order to reach a wider audience, I am not permitting any translations or reposts of my stories.
This is because I cannot verify whether the translation accurately reflects my fanfic. I only understand two languages (English and Tagalog), and I have little to no knowledge of other languages, let alone speak and/or write them. I would also really prefer to track the analytics of my fanfics on the platforms (Wattpad, AO3, and Tumblr) that I used to publish them using my only account: @lieutenantbatshit. This is just me wanting to maintain control over how my work is shared and represented, as each platform that I use has different styles of how I present it.
