There comes a phase in life when you feel like disappearing-hiding from the world, from expectations, even from people who once felt like home. Friends slowly turn into strangers, and life starts teaching lessons that feel unfair, heavy, and endless. Everything around you feels dark, uncertain, and overwhelming. Even the smallest effort from someone else can feel like a luxury you can't afford, and at times, even help from family feels like a burden rather than comfort.
You look around and see your friends moving forward, settling into their lives, even though they started at the same place as you. And that's where the hardest emotions live-you feel genuinely happy for them, yet quietly heartbroken for yourself.
But this phase isn't the end of your story. It's a chapter that's shaping you in ways comfort never could. Growth doesn't always look like progress on the outside; sometimes it's just surviving, showing up, and choosing not to give up. Your timeline is your own, and just because it feels slow or uncertain doesn't mean you're falling behind.
One day, this darkness will make sense. One day, you'll realize that even when everything felt impossible, you kept going-and that will be your greatest strength.
