Hey everyone,
If you’ve been looking for Trigger over the last couple of hours and noticed it completely vanished from your libraries, I am so, so heartbroken to tell you that the story was officially deleted by Wattpad due to content guideline violations.
To be completely honest, I am just as confused and frustrated as you are. I don't know why my story was flagged and targeted when there are so many other accounts on here writing scenes nearly identical to Trigger that get to stay up. It feels incredibly unfair, and I am so incredibly sorry to everyone who was invested in Shane and Ada's journey. Unfortunately, once Wattpad deletes a story for content violations, there is no getting it back.
What Happens Next?
Here is the hardest part for me to admit: I did not double-save this story.
Because I wrote it directly on the app/didn't keep a backup draft, the original version of Trigger is completely gone. I know, I know—big mistake on my part, and I'm kicking myself for it now.
But I am not giving up on this story or on all of you.
I am going to try my absolute best to rewrite Trigger from scratch as much as I possibly can, relying on my memory of the plot, the dynamic, and the scenes you all loved.
Because of Wattpad's strict guidelines, the rewrite will have to tone down certain elements slightly so it doesn't get flagged again, but I promise to keep the raw, tense, and captivating energy of Shane and Ada completely intact.
Rest assured, every single word of the rewrite will be safely backed up outside of the app this time!
Thank you all for the incredible support, the comments, and the love you showed Trigger while it was up. Please bear with me while I try to rebuild this world from the ground up.
