hii!! i know it’s been ages since you’ve all gotten any updates from me. but, i just wanted to catch everyone up on some things. to start, i so appreciate the reads and comments that persist, even now! i tune in every now and then to read them and they mean so much to me.
lately, my personal writing style and preferences have evolved from what they once were. i’d like to lean in a different direction moving forward and to start, i’ll be making a new account {@bonedustie , if you want to check it out in the future.} this is more so to expand my genre pallet and improve my writing. i won’t be deleting this account, but i will be functionally archiving it for the foreseeable future. that means that the stories that are paused, incomplete, or in editing will be discontinued. in terms of the sugar series, it should have always been a duology and admittedly i felt the need to continue it only to satisfy the algorithm and maintain engagement. and that’s partially why i’m starting fresh. i had aspirations of becoming a published author, so in my youth i brought that expectation to each of my works. writing what i thought people would like, rather than what spoke to my experiences. ‘mona lisa girl’ was my first venture into writing something just because i wanted to. and even that had subtle implications of feeding into what was popular at the time. and while i have many ideas in the works, nothing is concrete. so, my new account might be a little lacking for a while. i might just stick to reading to gain a sense of community in wattpads ever-changing landscape before i really dive into writing again.
