Rewriting of 'Mahishi' has started. :)
I had originally written this story in 2016. In 2021, I decided to start re-writing this story. But I picked it up now (2023) to re-write. I was working on a new story and re-writing my other story 'Durga' but sadly both are just 20% completed. Juggling between works sometimes helps me when I have writer's block. But other two works are relatively longer stories. Hence I picked this story first.
My aim would be to update this story weekly. *crosses fingers*

@ashleshadubey2006 From what I felt - Durga and Kanyaka don't have a proper continuity. I knew this while I was writing Kanyaka and wanted to go back add a few things in Durga. I had added some parts that weren't originally written by me so want to replace that. Also, the story has lot of grammatical mistakes which will be edited. But the story outline will be same. Thank you for the words of encouragement. :D

Hi Likhitha! I am gonna read Durga today, actually begin with it. I can't imagine, you're a computer engineer, working in an IT company plus writing! Oh, how I wish I can be like you ❤️
likhitha9
@someone_from_stars Hi Adrita! Thank you for picking my story and hope you will like reading Durga. Hehe thanks but most of the stories were written when I was an engineering student. After joining work, I have quite less hobby time.

Hello akka! Just had a question: have you seen the movies Anand and Godavari by Shekhar Kammula? I rewatched them on a whim a few days ago and I've fallen in love with them all over again! Wanted to know your thoughts
likhitha9
@voidsteffy I absolutely second you for the line - '... Shekhar Kammula trusted his audience...'. That's where beauty of his stroy telling lies and it made these 2 movie age like a fine wine. :) Your observational skills are great - I hadn't noticed Raji and Sita part Yes, the characters are relatable yet distinct in their own accord.

@likhitha9 I loved that Shekhar Kammula trusted his audience to be smart enough and didn't compromise his writing by always stating the obvious (the difference between Raji and Sita - Raji asks him to take her to a star hotel instead of a cafe while Sita takes Ram to a cafe in the end). His female characters are relatable to women this age and they are the most imperfect mix of confident firecracker and shyly insecure The boys in his works are respectful of everyone bar gender... I just- I find it very refined story telling

@voidsteffy Hi sweetie, yes I have watched those movies and I absolutely loved it! Probably I was 8-9 years when I first watched and didn't understand it quite well. But I rewatched it 4 years ago and I was blown away by it. XD I absolutely loved Kamalinee Mukherjee's acting but more importantly it was Shekhar Kammula's writing that was far ahead of its time! I can easily say they are part of my favourite movies list. :D Just curious, what was the thing/part of movie that remained with you? :)

@ashleshadubey2006 hi Ashlesha, Please don't call me ma'am. You can call me by my name - Likhitha. I have unpublished Mahishi for time being as there are 2 major loopholes in the story which I wanted to rewrite. Hopefully it will be done in a couple of months. I am extremely sorryfor the inconvenience caused! Thank you for giving Mahishi a chance, hopefully you will like the newer version when I will publish it.
